Royal Opera House - Echo & Narcissus

Choreographer Cathy Marston is famed for her dramatic retelling of classic tropes through contemporary dance. For this collaboration with stellar composer Stuart MacRae, the Royal Opera House asked Charles to create a projection design that would “reflect” the classical theme of Echo & Narcissus. Projected on a half-mirror, his projection design integrated into the narrative, rather than simply augmenting the production, and became one of his proudest moments with the Royal Opera House.
